Stephen
Wass, operating as 'Polyolbion Archaeology' has an M.A. in Historical Archaeology from the University of
Leicester gained during work with the National Trust on a major
archaeological survey of Farnborough Park,
Warwickshire. His current project, as part of a programme of D. Phil.
research at the University of Oxford, is to explore and investigate the
extraordinary
seventeenth century 'theme park' in the gardens around Hanwell Castle. He is also an accredited member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (MCIfA)
He is
available for small scale evaluations, watching briefs and
archaeological surveys and the
recording of historic gardens and buildings. He has lead a number of
community based archaeology projects and as a qualified teacher he is
also able
to offer advice to schools on teaching archaeology and can lead
projects with an archaeological focus.
